Privacy and directory standards
A plain-language summary. This is a draft and should be reviewed before launch.
What we collect
- Searching needs no account and no personal details.
- Listing a business: the business details you enter, plus your name and email so we can contact you about it. Your name and email are not shown publicly.
- Claiming a listing: your sign-in account, your name, email, role and the information you give to show you run the business.
- Enquiries: the name, email, phone and message you send. They are shared with the business you contact.
- Corrections: the correction and, if you choose, your name and email.
- Saved businesses are kept on your own device only.
Directory standards
- New listings are reviewed before they appear in search.
- Ownership claims are checked before anyone can edit a listing.
- Corrections are always free.
- Paid plans never buy a verification badge.
- Example and sample content is clearly labelled.
